Does your business bid for government contracts? Maybe it should… | CFIB
The Office of Small and Medium Enterprises (OSME) is here to help you with government contract procurement!
OSME was created in 2005 within what’s now called Public Services and Procurement Canada to advocate on behalf of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in federal procurement.
A key part of OSME’s mission is to encourage and assist small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to participate in the federal government procurement process.
It can improve your access to government contract opportunities by:
- Reducing procurement barriers;
- Simplifying the contracting process;
- Providing advice to SMEs wishing to do business with the government;
- Collaborating to improve procurement policies and best practices;
- Working with SMEs.
OSME also offers free webinars on government procurement and an online hub—buyandsell.gc.ca—where you can see government tenders and other procurement information.
For general information on OSME, on how to do business with the government, or to register as a supplier, contact the Information and Client Services Division.
