Apply for employee training funds from the Canada-NWT Job Fund program | CFIB
The Canada-Northwest Territories Job Fund is an employer-driven approach to help develop the skills of new or existing employees to help them meet the requirements of their present job, or to move into a better job. The Canada-NWT Job Fund agreement with the Government of Canada will provide funds to assist with the training needs of Northerners.
Programs funded under the Job Fund support a variety of approaches to skills development and strategic labour force development initiatives.
Programs are targeted for under-represented groups and those not eligible for EI.
Employment Services and Supports provide funding to enhance labour market participation of all Canadians, particularly under-represented groups. Eligible beneficiaries can access skills development programs, work experience assignments, or develop self-employment options to develop or maintain skills for employment. Employment Services and Supports also provides funding to organizations and communities engaged in strategic labour force planning and development initiatives.
