Toronto, November 30, 2024 – Today is Small Business Saturday, and it’s the perfect time to kick off the busy holiday shopping season by supporting local, independent businesses, says the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB).
CFIB research found that for every dollar spent at a small business or locally-owned franchise, 66 cents is recirculated back into the economy, compared to 11 cents spent at a multinational retailer.
